I have not seen any reference to anything in the Code of Virginia or any other statute on this subject.

Your suggestion of an “Authorized Personnel Only” sign is a good one, although it needs to be reinforced by a locked door with only a limited number of the authorized personnel having a key….

Is there a Virginia Code or other legal statute that addressing specific postings that should be on a records room door? Should the posting identify the names of the people that should have access to the records room? Or can it just say....Authorized personnel only.
