As a Virginia government records officer, you have an important responsibility for working with the state archives to implement records programs in your agency. The Council of State Archivists is presenting three webinars that we feel
may be valuable for our records officers. They are designed for state agency records staff but local records officers should also find them helpful. We understand that they will recorded and available on YouTube and the CoSA web site about a week following
each seminar.
Parts 1 and 2 will provide practical training in the key concepts and processes of managing and preserving e-records throughout the records management lifecycle and furnish an
overview of current best practices and real-world examples for organizations seeking to preserve and provide access to their records.
Part 3 consists of several case studies from state archives programs. Speakers will discuss how they have minimized risk, lowered costs, and protected records with long-term
value by implementing new strategies and collaborating with others in the state.
