Topic: How Can We “Bring Our Own Devices” to Work and Maintain Company Security and Governance? Today, employees expect to use Smartphones and mobile devices at work and are interested in using the same devices for work as for their home. Companies are being pressured by their own employees to “make this happen” and are trying to work out Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policies that
secure the company’s position and governance policy to ensure network security is not compromised, and yet allow employees to use the devices they choose. Our February 10th AIIM / ARMA meeting will explore the issues and advantages of employees bringing their own devices, with a short summary of the
topic and two case studies of businesses that have implemented BYOD. Please come and join fellow attendees to hear about this topic and to participate in discussions around your company’s progress and concerns on this
issue. Presenters: Sharon Robbins, PMP – Moderator Spencer Hall – Virginia State Bar, BYOD example Steve Holliday – Tredegar, BYOD example This event includes buffet lunch.
Please register by Sunday, February 7. Registration allows us to provide the venue with advance seating and meal requirements. Event cost is $24 for registration up to the cutoff date and $30 for late registration or walk-ins without prior registration. We hope you can make it! |
