In Norfolk, if the request for exemption is forwarded to the governing body for action via an ordinance which is then approved/adopted, then the file would become part of the City Council Meeting records which are permanent.

Disposition: Permanent, In Agency

 

If the request is not forwarded or not approved by the body, then they are managed under:

 

010274: Real Estate Assessment Records - Tax Exemption Files

This series documents exemption of properties from taxation by the locality.

Retention: Retain 3 year(s) after event
