A reminder: Registration for the September 16^th event Beyond the Basics – Building a Defensible Records Management Program in Daleville, VA will close on Tuesday, September 9^th.

 

Let’s say someone presents a challenge, legal or otherwise, to your recordkeeping practices.  How prepared are you to defend your RM program?   Is your program a potential liability for you or your agency?

 

In a three–hour workshop, we will  focus on laying the foundation of a defensible RM program, building upon that foundation utilizing The Principles of recordkeeping, and developing a defense toolkit of policy, procedures, training, and assessment.

 

Records officers and custodians who have or are ready to move beyond just identifying and documenting records for destruction will benefit most from this interactive presentation. Attendees are encouraged to come ready to participate in a give-and-take discussion of steps they have taken to make their program more defensible and some of the speed bumps encountered along the way.
