I found the following on VA’s Board of Medicine website (http://www.dhp.virginia.gov/medicine/medicine_faq.htm#Medical_Records)

·         Applicable law: Virginia Code 32.1-127.1:03

·         Health providers have 15 days to respond. 

·         The provider may impose a reasonable fee for cost of supplies and labor.

Does Virginia have an act or a law which states how long we have to provide a client with a copy of their medical records and if a charge for labor can be billed to them for the service?
