I have done oral history interviews in Page County which includes some of the land taken for the Park. As I am focused on those who attended the one-room schools in the footprint of the Park, these former residents are now 80+ years of age. The pain of the removals - the loss of place, of community - is still as harshly felt today, even more than 70 years on. Lynne Schulman Fairfax, VA ________________________________ From: Carole D. So much to be learned about the sources we learn from ! ! Carole In a message dated 11/26/2012 11:23:53 A.M. At present I am about half done. I can't decide whether to continue reading as my feelings of utter disgust for those authors and those who "bought into this" just trouble me at length. I have spent considerable time in trying to "proove" any of this and only today have learned the people and place names are fictitious! So, for any of you that felt the same way....I think the best place for it is the trash can! off my soapbox now!
