Our new exhibit You Have No Right: Law and Justice in Virginia opens this week and demonstrates how law affects individuals and how they in turn used the law to achieve political and social goals. Today's Out of the Box highlights how descendants of illegally enslaved Native American women used the Virginia courts to argue for their right to freedom.
