We do both, paper and electronic.  Back in 2005, our Town server went down and we lost everything from 1998 – 2005 (and some earlier files), but there were so many it was unclear.  There have been times, where the paper copy has been requested and we have had to provide a copy,  because the electronic copy sometimes is not clearly visible (especially maps).

Are any agency’s maintaining contract documentation electronically only?  We are in the process of moving that direction, but have concerns when it comes to servers going down and documents not being available.  We are interested in learning about backup plans, experiences, etc.
