New Bern, NC which is in Craven County is said to have been a major port in the 1800's. I am trying to determine if a man born in Essex County, Virginia in 1720/25 could have easily traveled to the Craven and Jones County area of North Carolina in the 1745-1755 time frame? > > Thank you for any help you may be able to give me. > > Pat > To subscribe, change options, or unsubscribe, please see the instructions at http://listlva.lib.va.us/archives/va-roots.html
