Subject: FOIA request for RM-3 Forms
You are receiving this e-mail as a subscriber to the Virginia Records Officer Listserv (VA-ROL). # #
All,
Several agencies have received Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests for Certificates of Records Destruction (RM-3 Forms). Per GS-101 100365 Records Management Files -
Approved Certificates of Records Disposal (Form RM-3), you should have three years worth of RM-3 Forms in your office. After you have provided those forms to the requester, please direct this individual to contact the Library directly to place a FOIA request
with our Public Information Office, Jan Hathcock, for any older forms.
Thank you,
Anita Vannucci
