Just to clarify: http://www.worldfamilies.net/ includes what they call "patriarch" trees. They consist of trees submitted to the site by descendant and often keyed to the DNA results. Anyone can submit tree information, whether or not they have participated in the DNA testing. I only use smgf.org for research purposes. The Family Tree DNA search engines: YSearch.org or MitoSearch.org, do not provide a family tree for the participant. Their search results, usually provides the names of one or two of the oldest known ancestors in the line that carried the participant's mitochondrial DNA or Y-Chromosome DNA. They may tell you where the oldest ancestor lived. When I use the smgf.org index, I get a family tree with all the ancestors' names that the participants know in their first 5 to 7 generations. These family trees give the birth dates and where the ancestors were born. As a result, the family trees provide much more valuable information. ...
