Militia Lists & Oaths of Allegiance What was his name and that of his wife (maiden, if you know it). In addition, do you know the names of any of his adult relatives - father, brothers, etc. Carolyn H Pappas Mclean VA From: PJ THOMAS <[log in to unmask]> To: [log in to unmask] Sent: Friday, July 1, 2011 1:10 PM Subject: [VA-ROOTS] Pittsylvania & Bedford Co, VA. Militia Lists & Oaths of Allegiance Hello: Need some direction. My 4th Great-Grandfather died in Pittsylvania Co in 1832 & obit in Lynchburg papers noted that he served during the Revolution but I find no proof. How can I obtain copies of the referenced data? Research in Cumberland Court House [county where he probably lived during some part of his adult life] turned up nothing. Thanks in advance!
