I would love the chance to see and hear any of Virginia’s early governors,
Thomas Jefferson or Patrick Henry for example, discuss their terms in office
and how they handled the issues their day. That will never happen of course
but there is a collection here at the Library of Virginia that allows us to see
several mid-20th century Virginia governors speak at length about their
gubernatorial service during an important time in Virginia’s modern history.
Read about and see the interviews of Colgate W. Darden, William M. Tuck, and
J. Lindsay Almond conducted by political reporter James Latimer in today’s Out
of the Box blog post.
