Presented by Don Wilson This year is the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the Civil War. More than 620 thousand persons lost their lives during the war of 1861-65. It resulted in more than one million casualties in a total population of 30 million. The war resulted in the emancipation of four million enslaved persons. Every family in the United States was affected by this tragic and heroic conflict. If your family lived in the United States during that time, you can find a personal link to those events. What exciting stories could your ancestors tell? RELIC's Don Wilson will show how to find out in a program presented at Bull Run Regional Library on Thursday, April 7, at 11 a.m. He will describe sources and techniques for tracking persons living at that time and what personal actions they may have taken.
