I would think it would be in court minute books.

Greetings!

I am looking for any information on where I might look to find the court
case of Elizabeth BLACKWOOD and William LAWRENCE.
The court case took place Sept. 1806 in Shenandoah County, VA. The
information I have is that Elizabeth BLACKWOOD committed assault on
William LAWRENCE. She was sentenced to 2 years in jail plus a 1,500
fine. I found this information on a personal web-site and have not
been able to confirm the information. I contacted the Virginia State
Library, and they did not find this case in the chancery records. Would
an assault case even be in the chancery records? Any information or
ideas on where I can search will be greatly appreciated.
