Huzzah for getting those things into digital form. So much easier to share. I just bought 100 "Gold" CDs which are advertised to hold the data for 300 years!!!!! Why, my ancestor, William Cabbell, had not even come to America 300 years ago. I don't think anybody in the Coloney even had a CD player. That's a round-about-way of saying that I don't think for one minute those disks are going to last 300 years, but apparently they do last considerable longer than plain vanilla CDs. I have some audio CDs that I acquired about 1982, and they are still going strong 28 years later...... So maybe the 300-ones will go for a century. Then the problem will be WHAT to play them on!!!!!!
