My reat-grandfather was Robert Lee Evans b. abt 1865-1870 to a John and Nettie vans. Robert's marriage record says he was born in Virginia but the 1900 ensus say he was b. in D.C as was his parents. Some family info that I have een given says he was from Alleghany Co., Va. I have searched the census but annot find a John Evans with a wife by the name of Nettie. Did find a John vans married to a Henrietta, 1870/80 Rockbridge Co., VA census, but they have o children in their household. I am hoping there may be some EVANS researcher n this list that can be of some help to me. With the given name of Robert Lee I eel strongly that he was born in Virginia as is stated on his marriage record hich has the names of his parents, John and Nettie. Any help given will ertainly be appreciated, Thanks for any and all replies, Bev To subscribe, change options, or unsubscribe, please see the instructions at ttp://listlva.lib.va.us/archives/va-roots.html To subscribe, change options, or unsubscribe, please see the instructions at http://listlva.lib.va.us/archives/va-roots.html
