The federal government has been collecting information about immigrants for many years. The former Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) and now the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) are the focus of those collection efforts. Zack Wilske, an historian with USCIS, will present "An Introduction to Immigration and Naturalization Service Records for Genealogists" at Bull Run Regional Library on Tuesday, January 26, 2010, beginning at 7 p.m. This presentation, for beginners and experienced researchers alike, will use case-study examples to provide an overview of relevant immigration sources. His talk will cover arrival and naturalization records available from both the USCIS Genealogy Program and the National Archives. Mr. Wilske's research interests include the history of the INS and its records. Please call (703) 792-4540 or email [log in to unmask] to register for this free program. -------------------------------------------- Have a question about Prince William County history, places or families?
