The Museum of the Confederacy is proud to host two free events as part
of Archives Month in Virginia!

On 10/27/2009, enjoy free admission to the Museum and attend the
Virginia History and Archives Fair from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The
participating institutions will all have stations showcasing their
individual archival practices and accomplishments. Participants include
the Museum of the Confederacy, Library of Virginia, Medical College of
Virginia, Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference, Roanoke College,
Valentine Richmond History Center, Virginia Commonwealth University,
Virginia Historical Society, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, and Virginia
State Historical Records Advisory Board. The fair will be highlighted by
a lecture at noon from Brian Daugherity, Collateral Instructor and
Assistant to the Chair of the History Department at Virginia
Commonwealth University.

behind-the-scenes tour of the Museum of the Confederacy's archives at
3:30 PM. See how the Museum preserves and stores its document collection

located on 12th Street.
