Nope, not the ones I am thinking of. I am talking about the assessor records that run up to at least the 1970s and later I believe. There is one or two vertical cabinets full of them for Richmond next to the Property Permits (or at least they use to be - lot of cabinet shifting lately). See "Tax Records" on their website. They also have land records to 1900. --Sally Phillips ----- Original Message ----- From: "[log in to unmask]" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Thursday, July 17, 2008 10:40 AM Subject: [VA-ROOTS] Richmond Tax Assessments Reels If I am not mistaken, I have seen drawers full of tax assessments on houses in Richmond through the years up to current days on microfilm? Is theer an index for those and if so, which reel(s)? Thanks.
