I have used the schedule below for such items as trial balances which seems to cover these types of secondary records. As to the EMS payments, I would put them under GS-2's general schedule of "Accounts payable or receivable 10143 or 10144." There are many such minor fiscal record series that should be able to be accommodated by these two schedules. GS-2 Fiscal Richard "Dick" Harrington Fairfax County Archivist / Recs. I started here in September and would like to become better acquianted with many of you to address your RM issues. I am contacting you to gain any insight about two records series that particular locality treasurer has with their locality. The first series is entitled "EMS Payment Batches" and I am told it consists of either a list or remittance stubs that act as supporting documents showing the account number, name and the payment amount. Secondly, another local treasurer's office raised a question about how long to retain thier trial balances. My initial thought was they are kept as long as our general ledgers which is a period of 10 years on schedule "GS-2 Fiscal Records." I would like to gain any feedback as to how each treasurer office has been managing thier trial balance records. I am attempting to find a series within our locality general schedules that these records series can fall into or if not, possibly adding them to the treasurer general schedule. In addition to this inquiry, I have a been designated as the RA analyst for locality Commissioners of Revenue. I also have been working with locality Treasurers and Housing Development professionals with RM concerns and would like to continue doing so for other finance, commerce/trade secretariat agencies, commissions etc. Feel free to contact me if there are any records series that are no longer used by your agency/locality or records series that may need to be added. I would like to update your schedules to reflect all current operations of your offices. Any feedback you can provide to the above treasurer inquiry will be greatly appreciated. I look forward to working with all of you . Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions. Corey Smith Records Analyst Library Of Virginia 800 E.
