The next program in the Virginia Heritage Resource Center's Mining the Treasure House lecture series will take place at noon on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 in the conference rooms adjacent to the lobby in the Library of Virginia at 800 East Broad Street in downtown Richmond. The speaker will be Virginia Lee Hutcheson Davis, well-known genealogist and author, who will discuss and sign her newest book Jamestowne Ancestors, 1607-1699, a history of the development of the Jamestown settlement and fort site and the surrounding counties during the 17th century. The book contains a documented identification and listing of approximately 1,200 persons who are known to have resided on the island or owned land there between 1607 and 1699. There is free underground parking for Library patrons.
