Then too, in other entries where there was one tithable and 2 horses, the assessment was 24 cents. Further, where there is one tithable, one slave and 2 horses the assessmnt is 69 cents. Thus it would seem that you will have to read the legislation or the court orders, both of which will set forth the ordered taxing to understand the sums.
