Reminds me; all searchers should attempt to learn of funeral home/mortuary records at their "wheres." Some are remarkably revealing....... Paul By the way MRCACG, who are you ???? We all sign our names here, and you seem to be signing as an organization only ??? ----- Original Message ----- From: [log in to unmask] To: [log in to unmask] Sent: Friday, January 30, 2004 1:54 PM Subject: Re: Pinning Death Dates -- Another question on wills I know of several cases where the receipt for a casket or digging a grave was the closest I could get to a death date. One of my pet peeves is the conversion of dates entered as between such and such that have been entered as absolute by later researchers. Words such as between or circa should be taken to mean "this is a s close as I can get with good reason" rather than the absolute date. Margaret R.
