I have the book, "The Churches of Fluvanna County, Virginia" compiled and edited by Jerry L. Holloway, 1966, printed by Cavalier Press, Richmond, Va. Mr. Holloway was the pastor of Fork Union Baptist Church at the time. The chapter on Lyles Baptist Church covers 18 pages and quotes from several histories written earlier (1890, 1924, 1944). He writes: "William Baskett and his good wife 'baptized by Elijah Craig, together with two other neighbors . . . and in the year 1774 a church was constituted called Lisle's.'" Also, "Five years later (1794) Elder Webber moved to Kentucky and Elder Baskett was called to the pastoral office. William Baskett was pastor until his death in 1815." I also have the Fluvanna Marriage Book which more or less covers the years from 1781 - 1849, and it has lots of marriages listed as performed by William Baskett, but does not list his church.
