Thanks PJD. I had that information from Rootsweb, but am trying to see if a female Daughter or Grandaughter of Fielding LEWIS married my Richard FORD of Fauquier Co., VA. There was a Richard FORD (FOARD) in the 1810 VA Census in Fauquier that was in the age range 26 - 44 and a female, probably his Wife 26 - 44. I believe this couple were in the 1820 VA Census in Mason Co., VA. Richard died intestate in Mason in 1827, the year after he received a gift for one dollar of 400 acres of land on the Kanawha River in Mason Co. from the estate of Howell LEWIS (s/o Fielding LEWIS), who died in 1809 in Mason Co., VA at age 38. In this Deed, Richard mentions all Howell's Children and Spouces as people he has known for a long time and that he loves. I believe Richard's Wife was a LEWIS therefore. I think his Wife may have preceded him in death by a few years and he might have been given the property to pass on to his Children who were growing up by then.
