We use a Casio QV3000 digital camera to photograph documents. It has a
resolution of 2048x1536 pixels. You can see some examples of these photos

In each case above the pictures have been resized to a smaller size. The
grayscale pictures (Surry) have been enhanced a little. All pictures were of
the actual book and these books could not be scanned or photocopied.

For any imaging of documents the pixel size is of the greatest importance.
The more pixels, the greater the resolution and detail.
