I have never heard this and I have been there many times and I have used many of the films. besides since you get the films yourself at Library of Virginia, How do they control who uses them? Robert Shotzberger Before I would drive 200 miles for any county, I would be willing to try www.familsearch.org and see if an LDS library if the film is available through it for $3.50. Grantee and grantor indexes for Spotsylvania are available on film and some of the deeds are, too. The years are shown on the site.
