There is a house in Alexandria known as the Boyhood Home of Robert E. Lee
(it belonged to a Fitzhugh when the Lees lived there) that used to be open
for tours. Then it was sold to a private party to the dismay of many of us.
This past summer there was an effort to raise enough money to buy it from
the private party. Does anyone know if that effort was successful?
Thanks
Charleen
