I understand and was responding to the look of the document. There was a lot of care put into the document, as far as the wording, and drawings. Thanks for the info. It was never a common practice as far as I am aware. People may have framed their own copies of important documents. Whenever I see an unusual or beautiful document in the collection -- some of our hand-drawn and hand-colored plats come to mind -- my first thought is that they are as beautiful as anything in a gallery. Documents in the care of an archive would generally not be framed long-term because of preservation concerns. Thanks for reading. -Dale ______________________________________ To subscribe, change options, or unsubscribe please see the instructions at http://listlva.lib.va.us/archives/va-hist.html ____________________________________________________________ Mortgage Rates Hit 3.25% If you owe under $729k you probably qualify for Obama's Refi Program http://thirdpartyoffers.netzero.net/TGL3231/4c895313de612535154st06duc ______________________________________ To subscribe, change options, or unsubscribe please see the instructions at http://listlva.lib.va.us/archives/va-hist.html
