Thank goodness you'll still be a "voice," Brent. I know Gregg will do a great job, but you will be missed. Thanks for your years of expertise sharing on what may be the best "invention" to come out of LVA. -Melinda S. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brent Tarter (LVA)" <[log in to unmask]> To: [log in to unmask] Sent: Tuesday, August 31, 2010 12:23:40 PM Subject: [VA-HIST] Moderationof Va-Hist At the end of August 2010 I cease being the moderator of record for Va-Hist and turn that responsibility over to my colleague Gregg Kimball. I shall continue to be a subscriber and will continue to take part in the discussions on this list, of which I was an original subscriber. Va-Hist was the first electronic discussion group for state history, so far as I know, in the country. John Kneebone and Elizabeth Roderick, then of the Library of Virginia, created Va-Hist in April 1994, and I took part in hosting the list with them until October 2002. From then until January 2009 my colleague and friend Rose Schooff shared moderation of the list with me and managed all of the technical details, in which she was succeeded by the library's Doc Frank. I thank all of them.
