This year's lecture is intended to commemorate the bicentennial birthdays of Jefferson Davis (2008) and Abraham Lincoln (2009). The lecture is part of the Museum of the Confederacy's annual Bottimore Lectures, made possible by the Roller-Bottimore Foundation, and is co-sponsored by the University of Richmond Department of History, Preservation Virginia, the Historic Richmond Foundation, and the Virginia Center for Architecture. Dr. Seale's book, The President's House, was reprinted in 2008 and will be available for sale.
