The Amherst County Museum (Amherst, VA) received the following request for information. Since we have little information to offer in re: Prince William and/or Fauquier Counties, he agreed to let me forward the request to this listserv. Please respond directly to Mr. Rice. Many thanks, Holly __________________________________________ Question: Lawrence Rice and John Fletcher appear on the rolls of the company of foot of Captain Beverly Robinson raised in the colony of Virginia in 1746 for an expedition against Canada. Both soldiers appear to be from the Prince William County area prior to 1759, and from the Leeds/Northeast District of Fauquier County after 1759. Can someone share anything about these two soldiers? Was either killed in the expedition? Is there a timeline for this company of foot for the expedition?
