The next program in the Virginia Heritage Resource Center's Mining the
Treasure House lecture series will be held at noon on Tuesday, 16 June,
2009 in the conference rooms adjacent to the lobby of the Library of
Virginia at 800 East Broad Street in downtown Richmond. 

The speaker will be Dale Neighbors, Prints & Photographs Collection
Coordinator at the Library of Virginia. His talk, entitled Signs of
Life: An Exploration of Family Photograph Albums

will explore the conventions of this photographic genre and discuss
themes relating to family structure and identity that can often be
revealed through an accumulation of family photographs.There is free
underground parking for Library patrons but please note that space is
