Greetings Everyone, Virginia-based historians Ed Ayers, Peter Onuf, and Brian Balogh--the hosts of public radio's "BackStory with the American History Guys" (www.backstoryradio.org)--will hold a live taping of the show on the topic of "Looking for Work: A History of Unemployment." The event will take place on June 19th at 5:30pm at the Miller Center for Public Affairs in Charlottesville. In the course of the free event, the American History Guys will take "calls" from the audience, play audio features, and discuss major turning points in the history of unemployment, with the goal of shedding light on what current high unemployment rates could mean for us today as a nation. A reception with the Guys will follow; it is open to the public, but registration is required.
