The Special Collections Research Center at Swem Library at the College of William and Mary owns the papers of the Woolfolk family who ran various stagecoach lines in Virginia in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The papers include financial records for the stagecoach lines, with the earliest ledger beginning in 1788, I believe. Here's a link to the entry in the SCRC database for the papers: http://scrc.swem.wm.edu/index.php?p=collections/controlcard&id=6746 I haven't looked at these papers myself to see what's in them (and don't have time to do so right now), but my understanding is that there is information about routes, passengers, equipment, stops, etc. You will find information about visiting the SCRC at: http://swem.wm.edu/scrc/ Bea Hardy Beatriz B.
