Professor Douglass is presently researching a book on Jefferson, using the Small Special Collections Library at the University of Virginia and the Robert H. Smith International Center for Jefferson Studies at Monticello. She is also an authority on Spain and Europe, having published on fiestas, bullfights, and the phenomenon of low birthrates in Spain and Europe. The lecture is open to the general public. The National Sporting Library is located at 102 The Plains Road, Middleburg, Va., 42 miles west of Washington D.C. just off Route 50.
