Clan members who have ancestors transported from various countries now are trying to get the folks off the boats and into the colony of Virginia. Is anyone familiar with "landing certificates" that were required for transported people and where some might be? In a Cavaliers and Pioneers issue, Thomas Ferguson was transported in 1630 [C & P, Patent Book 1, Part II, page 108 - Thomas Fargason - Chas. City Co.] We have formed a research group which we have entitled the 1700 Club based on the Census information where birthdates have placed individuals born during the 1700's. With the DNA Projects, we now are getting a picture of who may be an ancestor. Another item of interest is the "Traveling church" which was led by Lewis Craig of families who were uncomfortable with the official religon of the colony. It must be said that many traveled with the church in search of land in Kentucky. Are there any records of who may have migrated with this bunch?
