The following appeared on Museum-L today, but I thought that members of

The Museum of Underwater Archaeology is happy to announce the latest
contribution to the site: "Jamestown Island Survey" from Jodi Carpenter, MA
Candidate at East Carolina University. In a timely topic, Jodi participated
in a Phase I survey of the shoreline area at Jamestown Island, Virginia,
celebrating its 400th anniversary this month. Jodi's research helps link
Jamestown's colonial past with its more recent maritime history,
incorporating oral history with archaeological survey.

To read Jodi's research, click the link below and select "In The Field" on
the main page.

The MUA encourages students and organizations to publish their work on the
website. Please contact us if your are interested in creating a brief "In
the Field" introduction, an ongoing field journal, or a museum exhibit to
highlight your work.
