I did, indeed, go to the DAR library! "Poor Tom Blackburn's" sister, Jane Wormley Blackburn Moran,
Mrs. F. Berger Moran, or "Jeannie" Moran, author ("Miss Washington of Virginia", "What a Man can do
with a Woman's Life" and other works) was one of the founders of the Charlottesville Chapter of the
DAR, and donated one of the great bronze doors at the main entrance.

Her papers remain at bay . . . at least for this tracker.

They're not in Charlottesville . . . or in the DAR museum in DC.

Her husband, Francois Berger Moran (1849-ca 1897), was a New Yorker who became "one of the
principle farmers" of Albemarle County.

Any thoughts?

Best,

Dan
