I was surprised to hear the grumping on this list about the supposed
"political correctness" of the "Ten Days" series. The Washington Times, not
known as a liberal playpen, ran a review by James Rosen, a Fox News (any
liberals there?) correspondent, who wrote, "The series blessedly keeps
political bias to a minimum . . . . political correctness is admirably
tempered by the presence of contrary evidence and points of view." As to
the selection of events he wrote "Inevitably, some extremely consequential
moments in American history are omitted from the self-limited scope of the
series. (It's not called "All the Days That Unexpectedly Changed America.")"
He concluded that the series is "television at its best: engaging,
informative, thoughtful, at once fast moving and unhurried in its pace."
