Is this a reference to the resettlement of African Americans? If so I would
like information on the  society. Several of my Bowden and Lewis ancestors
relocated to Nova Scotia sometime around 1834. It appears there was a
community of free blacks who left Virginia, and settled in that area.  They
were in the area of Spotsylvania County, and not Albermarle.  It is a little
known fact that Native Americans were also being resettled in Canada and
South America.
