Mary Beth,

Thanks for the source. It should prove invaluable. I've decided to seat
my story in Richmond, in what is now Shockoe Botton where at least two slave
markets flourished in the mid 19th century. I've found an excellent picture
of such an auction in Richmond, and enough other illustrations to provide my
one picture per page routine. I'm uncertain how graphic I want the pictures
and text to be. I want the story to affirm what children may have heard, but
I don't want to develop hatred to people, just to the institution of
slavery. It will be a tricky task, and one I'm looking forward to doing.

Thanks for your help and support.
