Tom Robbins latest work is Villa Incognito, published by Bantam Doubleday Dell in 2003. He is the author of eight works, of which the last six have been on the New York Times best-seller list. All of his books are still in print. Writers Digest named Tom Robbins one of the 100 Best Writers of the Twentieth Century. The San Francisco Chronicle selected his second book, Even Cowgirls Get the Blues, as on of the 100 Best Novels of the 20th Century. His novels have been translated into seventeen foreign languages. He is the only living writer whose complete works are available in Greek. Tom Robbins was born in North Carolina and reared in Virginia. He attended Richmond Professional Institute (now Virginia Commonwealth University). After a stint on the copy desk at the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Robbins did graduate work in Asian philosophies at the University of Washington in Seattle, became a nationally known art critic, and commenced his literary career with the publication of Another Roadside Attraction in 1971.
