The Virginia Heritage Resource Center is pleased to sponsor a talk entitled, "Doorbells Will Start Buzzing: The Virginia Census of 1930." The talk will be held at noon on Friday, June 14 and 28, and Saturday, June 29 in the conference rooms adjacent to the lobby in the Library of Virginia at 800 East Broad Street in downtown Richmond. Library of Virginia Archives Research Coordinator Jennifer Davis McDaid will discuss the newly released 1930 United States Census for Virginia, including its background, content and how to use it. The talk will last for approximitely half an hour, and will include pictures. The Library of Virginia recently acquired a microfilm copy of the census for patron use. There is free underground parking for library patrons.
