To the Virginia History List Serv: We have a patron who is interested in the following quotation: "To be a Virginian either by birth, marriage, adoption, or even on one's mother's side is an introduction to any state in the union, a passport to any foreign country, and a benediction from above." (Or "from the Almighty God") The source of the quote is said to be "Anonymous." The patron says that there is more to this quote than what we have here. We have checked quotation books. We have found the quote on the Internet, but with no more wording that what we already have. Does anyone have any ideas about additional wording for this quote?
