Actually, don't we expect historians to be passionate about their pursuit of historical accuracy and truth? Look beyond our very, very short term U.S. history about which we are arguing to the several thousand years older archeological investigations of the Holy Land, (as outlined in the "Biblical Archeological Review" magazine), or the findings of the Leakeys in Africa to find plenty of zealousness on every unsure historical/archeological unsettled issue. That is the very essence of the pursuit of historical truth, isn't it? John To subscribe, change options, or unsubscribe, please see the instructions at http://listlva.lib.va.us/archives/va-hist.html
