For 21 years, the Friends of the Virginia State Archives have brought top
genealogical speakers to the Library of Virginia to share their expertise
and provide insights into research methodology. After a break caused by
COVID, the Friends are pleased to continue this effort with its annual
in-person Slatten Lecture to be held at the Library, 800 East Broad Street,
Richmond, VA, 23219, on Saturday, November 6, 2021, with registration
commencing at 8:30 am. Vic Dunn will deliver four lectures drawing on his
many years of research using genealogical resources at the Library and
other institutions. A copy of the program and registration brochure are
available at the addresses below.

Registration fees are $35 for members of the Friends or $50 for non-members
and includes a box lunch. Pre-registration is recommended. The deadline
for registration is October 29, 2021. For additional information, call
804-741-0136 or e-mail [log in to unmask], or visit
https://friendsvirginiaarchives.org.
For your safety and that of others at the program, please bring and wear a
face mask.
Hope to see you there.
