Your appreciation is as it should be, Shirley, and don't forget to ask the
same questions in societies of both counties and States with which you come
in contact.  There are numerous unpublished Chancery/court records that have
been transcribed by local folks for their own groups.  Mrs. Haun (Bless her
Dear Soul) abstracted counties' records and produced no less than 100
volumes of those and other courthouse records, especially Eastern NC and
Southeastern VA.  .
